Privacy Policy

Overview

ReturnRadar is developed by 306 Holdings. It is a local-first receipt, return-window, and warranty-date tracker. This policy explains how the app handles information when you add a purchase, scan or import a receipt, review extracted text, schedule a reminder, use the widget, or manage app settings.

No Account or Cloud Database

ReturnRadar does not require a 306 Holdings account and does not provide account-based cloud synchronization. The app does not operate a remote database for your purchases or receipts. Your purchase records and receipt content are stored locally on your device.

Information Stored on Your Device

Depending on the features you use, ReturnRadar may store the following locally:

• Retailer and item names, purchase amounts, currency, order numbers, notes, and return status.
• Purchase dates, return deadlines, warranty dates, deadline confidence, and reminder preferences.
• Receipt photos, PDFs, text, URLs, attachment names, and locally extracted OCR text.
• Pending receipt-import records, duplicate-detection information, and source metadata.
• App settings, notification status, and summary information used by the Home Screen widget.

Receipts can contain incidental personal information such as a name, address, loyalty identifier, or payment-card fragment. ReturnRadar treats that content as part of the local receipt file and does not intentionally transmit it to 306 Holdings.

Receipt Scanning and Text Recognition

ReturnRadar uses on-device text recognition to suggest purchase details from receipt images and documents. You review the extracted information before saving it. OCR results may be incomplete or incorrect, and you should verify retailer names, dates, amounts, order numbers, and deadlines.

The current Android implementation uses Google ML Kit text recognition on the device, and the native iOS implementation uses Apple Vision and related device frameworks. Receipt content is not sent to a 306 Holdings server for OCR.

Camera, Photos, Files, and Sharing

If you choose receipt capture, ReturnRadar may request access to the camera or use the system photo and document pickers. You may also share text, images, URLs, or PDFs to the app from another app. Access is used only for the item you select or capture. Platform permissions and picker behavior may differ between iOS and Android.

Notifications and Widget Information

Return reminders are scheduled locally on your device. ReturnRadar does not register for remote push notifications and does not send a push token to 306 Holdings. Notification content may show an item or retailer name on the Lock Screen depending on your device settings.

The Home Screen widget may display the next deadline, an item or retailer name, and money at risk. Anyone who can view your device screen may be able to see that information. You can remove the widget or adjust notification-preview settings through your device.

Retailer Policy Suggestions

ReturnRadar includes bundled retailer policy defaults that may suggest a likely return window. These are reference snapshots, not a live retailer-policy service. Policies may vary by item, purchase method, membership, location, promotion, or current retailer rules. Always confirm the actual deadline with the retailer. Policy suggestions are not guarantees.

Analytics, Advertising, Payments, and Tracking

ReturnRadar does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, a 306 Holdings analytics service, or a 306 Holdings crash-reporting service in the inspected release. The app does not sell personal information or receipt content and does not share it for targeted advertising.

ReturnRadar is intended to be sold as a one-time paid download through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Store operators process the purchase under their own terms and privacy policies. ReturnRadar does not include an embedded payment SDK, subscription, or in-app purchase.

Internet Access and Third-Party Services

The current Android release is designed to process receipts without the internet permission. ReturnRadar does not use a remote retailer lookup, cloud receipt service, or remote notification service. Your device and app store may still connect to Apple, Google, or other platform services for downloading, updating, licensing, backup, or operating-system features under those providers' own privacy practices.

Children's Privacy

ReturnRadar is intended for adult and general-audience shoppers and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not ask for an age and does not require an account. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use the app only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Retention and Deletion

Purchases, attachments, imports, reminders, and settings remain on the device until you delete them, reset settings, clear app storage where supported, or uninstall the app. ReturnRadar does not create an account, so there is no account-deletion process.

The app provides controls to delete purchases and related attachments, clear pending imports and reminders, and reset settings. Device backups or transfers may preserve local app data depending on the platform and your device settings.

Security

ReturnRadar uses the operating system's app sandbox and app-private storage. The app does not add a separate application-level encryption layer or secure database. Information shown in a widget or notification may be visible outside the unlocked app. No method of storage can be guaranteed completely secure, so avoid storing receipt content you do not want kept on the device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as ReturnRadar, its supported platforms, or legal requirements change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate app or website notice when practical.
